Which Treasure Chest to Pull From
It's one thing to rank generals from best to worst. It's another to actually spend your precious FP on Treasure Chest pulls. Here, I've ranked the Treasure Chests to help you decide which ones to pull from. If you have lots of FP, then by all means try to go for whatever specific generals you want, just know that certain chests are going to still be more useful than others.

Alpha Chest
It is cheaper than every other chest, and you get a great chance of getting a general, but only the epic generals are any good. If you don't get one of them you're stuck with a second-rate general at best and a completely useless piece of equipment at worst. You should pull from this chest if you desperately want to increase your invasion strength. If you value your FP though, avoid Alpha Chest like the plague.
Vanguard Chest
Malekus is a good attacking general. Skaar Deathrune and Ambrosia are both good for defense. Lotus Ravenmoore is a decent monster slayer. Lucius helps with buying soldiers. The remaining generals are all outclassed by Oracle generals and the equipment is crap.
Onslaught Chest
Aurora is an excellent attacking general and Scourge is pretty good. Azeron and Theorin are good generals to level up with. Azriel can be a great attacker once you spend a lot of money. Kull and Draconius can be strong but need a lot of FP. Athenia starts out alright but becomes pretty decent after spending a lot of gold. Callista, Gallador, and Anwar don’t start great and aren’t really worth it to max their abilities.
Oblivion Chest
Corvintheus and Halcyon are great defensive generals. Xira is a great attacking general. Kobo is marginally useful. Banthus Archfiend is great but has a cooldown. Karn the Minotaur, Miri Bladebourne, and Phaethor are ok but their abilities have cooldowns too. Jada and Delfina Cloudslayer start out terrible but can be alright once you spend a lot of gold.
Annihilator Chest
This is the best chest for Guild battles. Elaida, Zurran, and Ameron are incredible Cleric, Mage, and Warrior generals respectively. Raziel is an alright Rogue general. Severin gives an ok attack boost with a cooldown but Elora from the Oracle is better. Serylius can be a decent general to equip when leveling up. Some class skills can save you some guild coins in the short term but all of them are weaker than the guild shop equivalents.
Ascension Chest
Aurelius, Jahanna, and Agamemnon are three of the best generals in the game. Evalice is stronger than Xira from the Oblivion Chest and easier to get. Misa is like Zin but she recharges energy instead of stamina. Alyzia and Bjorin can also be good but only with a lot of luck and FP. Zeventis can be good when you spend a lot of money. The equipment is pretty good and all of it helps the generals.
Wrath Chest
Kothas is an incredible Cleric general. Felizia is a great Mage general. You can also get Revive lv1 and Illusion lv1. Just about everything else has high stats but is ultimately a waste of FP compared to what you get with most other chests.
Conquest Chest
Reinhardt is great as a pvp defense general when you log out. Amon, Isidra, Aegea, and Axxon have high stats but their abilities don’t actually help that much in guild battles. Charlotte and Feral are decent monster slaying generals.
Phoenix Chest
There are only 4 generals but they have insane stats and interesting damage-boosting abilities. This whole chest is focused on these 4 generals and newer high-level game mechanics (elemental strength and resistances).
